Vote for BalenaScape
Help BalenaScape climb the toplists and get paid for it. Vote on RSPS-List and Scapelikes for vote tickets, then spend them at the Herald of BalenaScape in Balenhaven: boosts, a vote-only boss, bounty contracts, golden pets, the Herald's cape and a weekly lottery at the Wishing Fountain.
How voting works
- Type ::vote in the game. A window opens with a button for RSPS-List and one for Scapelikes. Each button opens that toplist's vote page with your account's own anonymous vote id, never your name.
- Vote on both. As soon as both toplists have confirmed your vote, you receive 3 vote tickets at once. Offline? They wait for your next login.
- Come back. RSPS-List lets you vote again after its next reset (noon and midnight), Scapelikes after 10 hours: about two rounds a day. Every 7th day in a row with a round gives 5 bonus tickets.
Always start from ::vote. A vote cast directly on a toplist's own page, without your vote id, can't be linked to your account. Every vote counts once: replays and double votes are refused. A brand-new account receives its tickets after its first hour of play.
Vote tickets are tradeable with other players and on the Exchange at your own price. No merchant buys or sells them, so voting never creates coins. Everything you buy with them is personal and untradeable.
The Vote shop
The Herald of BalenaScape stands on his blue-and-gold podium against the wall of Merel's Magic Emporium, on the street east of the Balenhaven plaza. Choose Trade for the Vote shop, Vote for the vote window and Hollow Hall to face the vote boss. You can also open the shop with ::voteshop or from the vote window, outside the Wilderness, combat and minigames.
| Reward | What it does | Price |

| Herald's gilding Long-term rewards | Turns one kind of pet solid gold for everyone to see. | 60 |
| Herald's cape Long-term rewards | A ceremonial cape with an ermine collar and the herald's crest: +4% accuracy and damage against monsters. Kept on death; it breaks on a Wilderness death. One per account. | 300 |
| Herald's blessing Long-term rewards | Permanently +10% experience in every skill. One per account. | 750 |
Insight and the blessing boost normal experience only, not quest rewards or lamps.
The Hollow Herald
The first Herald of Balenhaven proclaimed a false king, and now he proclaims forever, in an empty hall. Give a Hollow Herald's sigil to the Herald (option Hollow Hall) to face him alone. You need Combat level 90; one sigil is used per fight. Death follows the normal rules outside the Wilderness.
- Proclamation. Every so often he shouts "HEAR YE! MAGIC!" (or RANGED or MELEE), and his attacks follow that style. Switch your protection prayer.
- Trumpet blast. When he raises his horn, tiles glow ghost-blue in a cone or a cross. Step off them before the blast hits.
- Phantom banners. At two-thirds and one-third of his health he raises three ghost banners. While one stands he barely feels your blows: cut them down.
- Enrage. Below 20% he attacks and blasts faster.
| Drop | Notes | Chance |
|---|---|---|
| Hollow herald's helm | Armour set, Defence 70 | 1 in 20 |
| Hollow herald's tabard | Armour set, Defence 70 | 1 in 20 |
| Hollow herald's legs | Armour set, Defence 70 | 1 in 20 |
| Hollow herald's gauntlets | Armour set, Defence 70 | 1 in 24 |
| Hollow herald's boots | Armour set, Defence 70 | 1 in 24 |
| Hollow war-horn | Off-hand with prayer and magic defence | 1 in 30 |
| Echoing amulet | Against monsters, about 1 hit in 11 echoes a moment later for a third of its damage | 1 in 40 |
| Hollow banner-halberd | Two-handed, Attack and Strength 75, special attack Proclamation | 1 in 50 |
| Echo Pet | A very small Hollow Herald that proclaims everything you do, slightly too late | 1 in 80 |
The armour set: wear the helm, tabard, legs, gauntlets and boots together for +5% accuracy and damage against monsters. Proclamation (50% special energy): "HEAR YE!" and one blow with +25% accuracy and damage; big creatures are hit twice, and in multi-combat every monster next to your target is struck too.
Every kill also gives supplies, and one kill in five returns 3–6 vote tickets. The Hollow Herald never drops coins. His uniques and Echo can be traded with other players and on the Exchange, like Barrows equipment; merchants don't buy them. He has his own Collection log page.
The Wishing Fountain
The golden fountain on the Balenhaven plaza holds a weekly lottery. Choose Make a wish and throw in vote tickets: every ticket is one lot (up to 1,000 in one throw). The floating sign above the fountain shows the pot; Look shows your lots, your chance and the time until the draw.
Every Sunday at 20:00 (Amsterdam time) one winner is drawn, weighted by lots. The winner receives 80% of the pot in vote tickets and the Crown of the Wishing Fountain, a circlet under a frozen arc of fountain water (one per account). The other 20% leaves the game. Everyone online hears the winner, and a winner who is offline receives the prize at their next login.
Bounty contracts
Read a Herald's bounty contract for a task that fits your levels: kill a number of monsters you can take on, or cut, mine or catch a resource you can gather. You have 30 to 45 minutes of play time; time logged out doesn't count. One contract at a time. Check it with ::bounty, where you can also abandon it.
Finish in time for the contract's experience once more, 4 vote tickets back and a 1 in 25 chance at the Bounty hunter's hat, a wide leather hat with a gold feather. Already have one? You get 2 extra tickets instead.
Pet gilding
Use a Herald's gilding on a pet, or choose Gild while it follows you. Every pet of that kind on your account turns solid gold, with slow sparkles, for everyone to see, and its icon turns gold too. It works on every pet in the game. Changed your mind? Remove gilding gives the gilding back, so you can move it to another pet.
