Sixteen skills
Train Attack, Strength, Defence, Hitpoints, Ranged, Prayer, Magic, Cooking, Woodcutting, Fishing, Firemaking, Mining, Smithing, Thieving, Slayer and Crafting, all the way to 99. Click any skill in your Skills tab for a guide to what you can do at every level, and what is still locked.
Twelve quests
Twelve quests are worth 25 quest points, from Cook's Crisis in the kitchens of Fort Valor to Balena's Legacy, a Grandmaster quest that starts at the Docks. Finish them all and Questmaster Elin will sell you the Quest point cape.
A world to explore
Leave the walled capital of Balenhaven through any of its four gates and head for Fort Valor, snowy Frostheim, the Blackmire swamp, the Sunscar Desert, the dwarven city of Ironhold or the Docks. Further out lie the Duskreach, an island across the southern sea where Duskhold sits in endless twilight, and the Wilderness, where other players can attack you.
Combat and magic
Melee, ranged and magic run on a classic 600 ms game tick, with prayers up to Piety, Rigour and Augury and special attacks that can turn a fight. Unlock the Ancient Magicks in Sands of the Pharaoh, or defeat the Moon Guardian on the Lunar Isle to earn the Lunar spellbook and its Vengeance.
Slayer and bosses
Six Slayer masters, from Ser Brynn in Balenhaven to Kaelen Duskbane in Duskhold, hand out tasks and Slayer points for the slayer helmet, unlocks and supplies. Your Boss log tracks 16 bosses, from the Leviathan to the Pyrohydra, and every one of them can drop its own pet.
The Exchange
Buy and sell with every player at once from eight offer slots at the Balenhaven Exchange, just outside the east gate. Offers are matched even while you are offline, and the Market Watch board shows what is trading, rising and falling.
Eight minigames in the Veiled Sea
Each entrance on the map leads to its own arena in a hidden realm: the Trial of the Last Flame, the Tidewall, the Squall of Saltmere, the Long Night, the Tomb of the Dawn Priests, the Valor Proving Grounds, the Hall of Echoes and the Circle of Aspects. Dying there is safe, and the best rewards, like the Cape of the Undying Flame and the Imbued Aspect cape, are untradeable and only come from the hardest modes.
A house of your own
Buy a house on the Hearth Isles from Master builder Hendrik and train Crafting by building it room by room, from the Parlour to the Achievement gallery. Cook in your kitchen, offer bones at your own altar, mount trophies of your bosses, let your pets live there and open the door to visitors when you like.
Arms and provisions
Every bow, crossbow and godsword has its own shape, from the bat-wing Shadow bow and the dragon-headed Dragon crossbow to the icicle blade of the Glacier godsword. Every kind of food has its own icon too, and the karambwan lets you eat, drink a potion and eat again in a single tick.
